Toy Designs

To finish our science unit we were asked to make a toy car and predict how it would move when we applied a push or pull.  We had great fun using our skills to make our toy car and then we went to the undercover area to test and evaluate our toys. We had races to see whose car went the furthest, and then we tested them on the ramp.

Push and Pull

Today in Science we looked at objects that can move in different ways. You can move things by pushing them and pulling them. We can also use push and pull forces to make something change shape, stop moving or change direction.

 When we pulled the paper it stretched.

 When we pushed and pulled play dough we made different shapes.

 We can knot a string when we push and pull.
