War Monuments Excursion

2J went on an excursion to visit 2 war monuments in our local area. The first was the cenotaph at Richard Russell Park. It had the names of soldiers who died in World War 1 and World War 2.
There were floral wreaths laid at the bottom of the cenotaph.
Mackenzie's family laid a wreath here on Anzac Day in memory of her great grandfather.
The second monument was outside the RSL hall in Manly. It is in memory of everyone who fought in the war. It is a very big rock with the words "Lest We Forget" on it.

Afterwards we went inside to look at some memorabilia from different wars. It was very interesting.
Where is your favourite war monument?
